FAQ.

Do I receive commissions on all referrals?

We do not pay commissions on processing for referring your own firm, as that’s considered self-dealing. Via our commission plan rules we also do not pay commissions on any merchant referred which processes less than $10,000/mo in transactions. While you may refer small merchants and we are happy to serve them, there simply isn’t enough money involved in small merchants for us to even break even. So feel free to refer them and when they grow to a larger size and their processing volume increases above 10k/mo we will then start paying residuals to you for those merchant referrals.

I have independence rules to follow, how is that handled?

If you are unable to establish safeguards to ensure your independence with a client, do not refer that merchant. You may selectively refer merchants whom will not be a threat to your independence. If you would like to discuss how you may setup safeguards to make referrals, please schedule a time to speak.

Additionally, it is mandatory that you receive an acceptance of your commissions in writing from all referrals before we will provide a competitive analysis.

I do audit work and/or attest services can I still participate?

We understand that Clients you perform attest services for will be a threat to your independence and recommend you do not refer those particular clients to us unless you are able to establish appropriate safeguards to eliminate the threat to your independence.

What companies can you process credit cards for?

We can process credit cards payments for any company in any industry regardless of size. Please note, while we are able to serve everyone there will be some companies that making a switch will require other operational or software changes which make switching impractical, difficult, or expensive, depending upon the solution which they are presently utilizing.  If switching to AdaptMS is not practical, we’ll let you know why and encourage you to merely refer the next business.

The merchant processing industry is littered with competitors practicing sneaky shady tactics to retain and keep merchants from switching service providers.  Occasionally that means it’s less painful for a business to stay with a less desirable solution as the business pain to make a switch to a better alternative is to great for their liking.

How are commissions paid?

We will transfer the residual commissions to any bank account you register with us in the proprietary Promise Network Portal established for you when you join our referral partner program.

Can you process payments for our firm?

Absolutely! All you need to do is submit your most recent three concecutive merchant processing statements and we’ll be in touch regarding your situation and how we may assist you. Note it is not possible to receive commissions on processing transactions for your own firm as that is considered self-dealing.

How Much Can I Make?

The amount you can make is virtually unlimited, however the residuals you receive will be determined by the dollar volume of transactions we process for each merchant, our contract terms with each merchant, and the cost associated with processing those transactions. Review our Compensation Plan below for in-depth details.

The larger the company or the more companies you refer the more you’ll earn.

How long are referrals good for?

Any company you refer which becomes a boarded merchant within 12 months of your referral, will be considered your referral, unless the prospective client as evidenced by them turning down our proposal and subsequently another referral partner refers them, we initiate another proposal and then they become a boarded merchant. In such a scenario the referring partner which secured the proposal which lead to boarding the merchant will earn the residual for that specific merchant.

How do I start earning by partnering with AdaptMS?

Go to  NEED A SIGNUP LINK.

Is this a pyramid scheme or MLM?

Not even close.  A ponzi scheme seeks investments from all participants and uses the funds from future investors to fund fake returns to earlier investors.  We are not selling any sort of investments. Nor do you need to recruit other participants to market our services for you to earn any money as is the norm in the MLM industry.   No money is required from anyone to participate in our referral program.  We are a US Banking industry regulated company with strict governmentally mandated privacy and secrecy laws we must adhere to.

We provide credit card processing services for Visa, Mastercard, American Express etc.  Like all processors worldwide we collect a fee for each transaction at businesses we service.  Instead of hiring a salesperson to cold call on businesses marketing our services, we are paying the residual commision which would normally go to such a salesperson to you for securing a merchant referral, allowing you to make a long term passive residual as a small piece of every transaction the referred merchant receives in their day to day operations.  It’s a win win scenario.  It allows you the opportunity to increase your revenues from your existing business relationships for a service these companies are already paying to utilize without costing them any more money than they are presently paying without us having to participate in the scummy sales tactics which are common in the merchant processing industry.  And in most cases we’ll save the referred merchant money over their current provider.

What size companies does Adapt work with?

Any company which accepts credit cards for payments of their products or services regardless of size or industry.

Are there any companies you can’t process credit card transactions for the merchant?

While we can technically process payments for any company there will be some situations where it will be difficult or painful for a merchant to change service providers. It is on a case by case situation with every company in every industry depending upon the solution they are currently utilizing.  For example some merchants have chosen siloed software critical to their business operations which has been hard coded (siloed) to only function with 1 merchant processor. This is called non-agnostic software and in such situations to make a processor change would necessitate changing their business operations software or hardware as well.  Sometimes there are easy work arounds to these scenarios sometimes there aren’t.  An enormous amount of companies prefer to utilize agnostic software which gives those business owners the option to work with any merchant processor they choose. So we won’t know until a merchant has been referred and we’ve had an opportunity to evaluate and present alternative options to them. If working with AdaptMS isn’t feasible at the time we’ll do everything we can to maintain the professional relationship you have developed with them while informing you why this situation didn’t work at this time.

When will I be paid?

Residual commissions are paid no later than 45 days following the month end of the month the transactions transpired, and no earlier than 30 days. For example, all residual commissions for transactions processed in the month of May will be transferred to a bank account of your choosing between 1-15th of July.

How can I view my earnings?

You will be given a referral account in our proprietary Promise Network Portal where you will be able to view your residual  earnings from transactions we have successfully processed for each merchant you have referred.

What is the Promise Network?

The Promise Network is a proprietary payment processing website portal, meeting PCI Compliance Standards, developed by Adapt Merchant Services where 1) referred and boarded merchants will view and track  their customer payment transactions and fees. 2) Where referral partners view the merchants they’ve referred and the passive residual income from the transactions processed for the merchants.

Do I need to refer all my clients?

No, you choose which companies you refer. You also choose how you want to approach each prospective firm about a competitive analysis of their current merchant processing services. If there is a threat to your independence with a specific client and you do not have safeguards to eliminate the threat, do not refer that specific merchant, and maintain your independence.

Do I really not have to sell anything?

Yup! your only role is to introduce us to business decision makers/merchants whom accept credit cards as payment in their business and we’ll take care of the rest. We are cognizant of your reputation and we will do everything to represent you honestly, transparently, and with the utmost of respect.

Anything Else I Should Know?

Yes, occassionally merchants purchase equipment, such as mobile payment terminals, cash drawers, etc.  A merchant may purchase any agnostic hardware or software on the market and we sell it at cost.  We make zero money from such purchases.  While a merchant may buy such hardware for cash, in some instances instead of parting with their hard earned cash they negotiate a purchase agreement financing the equipment with no money out of pocket against future processing cost.  When doing so, these merchants agree to longer term contracts with us to ensure we recoup the hardware cost.  When a merchant does this, these cost will be reflected in your residual statements and will reduce or delay the timeline before residual payments commence as their financing needs to be paid off before their is any gross income to pay residuals.  In such situations, this will be communicated to you and it will be reflected in the monthly residual statements.

Understanding Processing Software and hardware

Siloed vs. Agnostic Systems

When it comes to payment processing systems, businesses have two primary options: siloed or agnostic software and hardware.

Siloed payment systems are like the Macintosh world, they only work well with Apple and don’t play well with others.  You have to buy Apple hardware and software at a premium price for everything to work. Similarly with a siloed payment system a merchant will only have the limited options of that siloed provider.  They will have very specific hardware and software requirements to function, and they won’t play with any other providers’ solutions. Additionally, all siloed systems in the market are priced at a premium as the merchant gets locked into one processor with no option to competitively switch.

Agnostic payment systems are like Windows.  There is an entire ecosystem of hardware and software developers in this world.  The payment systems function like Windows functions whether you have HP or Dell.  Agnostic payment systems work seamlessly with various software and hardware providers, allowing businesses to switch and upgrade without hassle. Choosing an agnostic system means more flexibility, fewer headaches, and the ability to adapt to changing business needs effortlessly.

When you are referring businesses to Adapt, some owners will be unaware of the difference, and some will have knowingly chosen a siloed systems while others got sold into a siloed system by an unscrupulous salesman.  If a company, you refer is utilizing a siloed system we may or may not be able to assist them depending upon which siloed system they are utilizing combined with their firm goals and objectives.  We will be able to assist many firms which are utilizing siloed systems, however some, due to the requirements to change to a more flexible option will remain with their siloed payment provider.

So, when you refer a business and they choose to remain in their private siloed members only garden, don’t despair, that’s business in the payments industry.  Some will remain with Mac for a premium while others will go with Windows and have more options.  Regardless, we will treat your referrals professionally and respectfully to enhance your reputation with them even though they are choosing to remain in a restricted payments world.  We encourage you to thank them for taking a look and refer the next business, which we will be able to assist.

Adapt Merchant Services encourages businesses to utilize Agnostic Payment Systems as it gives companies the freedom to choose the best solutions for their business without being locked into a single payment provider’s ecosystem. This flexibility leads to cost savings, improved efficiency, and the ability to stay ahead of technological advancements. In contrast, a siloed system stifles innovation and limits a company’s options.

Questions About The Compensation Plan

?

How will I be paid?

No later than 45 days following the month of the transactions being processed we will transfer your commissions on a 1099 independent contractor basis to an account of your choosing.

How do the stages work in the comp plan?

The stages are progressive. Meaning you will be paid a percentage on the gross income of the dollar volume processed in each stage.  As the overall processing volume of all refferred merchant grows you will earn a higher percentage of the gross income on the processing volume in the respective stage(s).  So you will always be paid 25% on the first $50k in processing volume each month 30% on the next stage etc.  You will only be paid the maximum 50% of gross income on the volume above $1 million processed each month.

Why don't you pay commissions on merchants processing less than $10k/mo?

Margins in the processing industry are fairly small and we make money through  volume.  A business that brings in less than $10k/mo is tiny.  On such merchants the absolute dollar value of maximum revenue is negligible. After we factor in customer service and overhead cost, a single call to our 24/7 customer support line cost us more than we bring in on such a merchant. And Adapt needs to stay in business to continue to pay you long term residuals.

We are happy to serve small merchants and as they grow they will remain your referral and we will pay you referral fees as they grow.

How secure are your payment processing services?

Security is our top priority. Our services comply with PCI standards, ensuring that all transactions are secure and your customers’ data is protected.
